War card game
Splitting the deck…
How to play War
War is the simplest two-player card game there is: the deck is split in half, both players flip their top card, and the higher card takes both. Capture all 52 cards to win.
- War is pure luck — there are no decisions, which makes it perfect for teaching young kids card ranks.
- Games can run long; many families agree to stop after a set time and count cards. Here, 400 rounds ends the game.
