How to play Rummy 500

Rummy 500 (also called 500 Rum or Pinochle Rummy) is the rummy game where every card you meld scores points and you can dig deep into the discard pile. Lay down sets and runs, lay off on anyone's melds and race to 500 points.

• ♠Digging deep into the discard pile can win a round — the extra cards often give you more melds — but every card left in your hand at the end costs you.
• ♠Lay off on your opponent's melds: those points are yours, and it shrinks your hand.
